Vera Bradley

“Most Perfect Couple”

In the early aughts, teen girls were absolutely obsessed with Vera Bradley bags. (Can confirm from personal blue paisley experience.)

Those girls grew up into millennial women. And their teen obsessions took a backseat (once again: can confirm). Reigniting their passion for bright, patterned, over-the-top quilted bags they loved in the y2k era required reminding them of all the other passions they also had as teen girls. Like, for example, writing horny fanfiction online.

Naturally, the solution was adapting fanfic about y2k heartthrob Devon Sawa — that was actually written in the 2000s by a real teen girl named Kristen — into a romcom starring adult Kristen, Devon himself, and Vera Bradley.

“Most Perfect Couple” deserved some classic y2k romcom movie trailers to tease its release…

We launched our film nationwide with all the obsessive y2k teen girl blogger aesthetics (and feelings)— across the internet and in “Tiger Beat”-style throwback Devon OOH.

Product :06s and :10s were all about <333 openly manipulating <333 our audience using a mix of cheesy pickup lines and language only fanfic diehards would appreciate.

And the girlies—REAL y2k heroines included—went absolutely feral for it. (Michelle Branch, you are still everywhere to me.)
