The Crystal Pepsi Trail

Millennials do love going absolutely insane for 90s nostalgia.

So when fans began a frenzied online campaign to #BringBackCrystalPepsi, a clear cola flop from 1992—we made them play our own version of their most beloved childhood computer game to taste Crystal Pepsi once again: The Oregon Trail.

We wrote, designed and coded The Crystal Pepsi Trail game entirely in house: officially partnering with The Oregon Trail’s creators and iconic brands like Tamagotchi and JNCO jeans to add beloved 90s items to our odyssey—even bringing “Double Dare” host Marc Summers in to voice our trusty trail guide.

Hosted on a perfectly 90s-style microsite (that Reddit approved of), fans played for an average of 8 minutes to earn a chance to win a six pack of the newly re-released Crystal Pepsi. Booyah.
