The Pregnancy Pause

Being a mom belongs on your resume.

America is 1 of only 2 industrialized nations worldwide that won’t provide paid maternity leave. This pushes many new moms out of the workforce—and leaves ambiguous ‘gaps’ on their resumes that make it statistically more likely they’ll be overlooked for job opportunities.

So for Mother’s Day, we created a stopgap: The Pregnancy Pause, a faux company moms can list as an employer on LinkedIn to claim motherhood as the full-time job experience it is.

The Cannes entry was more expensive than the project’s entire production. We took home two Lions, and were shortlisted for Glass: The Lion for Change.
