Remember “Back to the Future Part II”? Remember its fake Pepsi Perfect product placement?

To celebrate Back to the Future Day (October 21, 2015: the day Doc and Marty visit in the future), we made Pepsi Perfect a reality for the obsessively loyal fans who most definitely remembered Pepsi Perfect.

We wove a conspiracy worthy of the fandom on Reddit and across the internet by dropping meticulously-faked content: ‘stolen’ factory footage, ‘leaked’ bottle patents, commercials that only ran at 3am on local stations, and mysterious wild postings spotted outdoors across the country—all fueling wild speculation and culminating in a surprise Pepsi Perfect giveaway at New York Comic Con on Back to the Future Day itself.

On a personal note, nothing tastes as good as faking a very dumb conspiracy theory feels. Not even a Pepsi Perfect.
